Abstract :
This paper investigates the spatial correlation characteristics of three dimensional (3-D) antenna array systems. Closed-form formulas of the 3-D spatial correlation functions are derived under uniform distribution angular energy distribution. It is found that the 3-D spatial correlation is a function of array sensor spacing and array geometry. Simulation results are presented for illustration.
