Abstract :
The paper presents the design of a dual-band PIFA for handheld phones using an H-type slit in its radiators. Because H-type slits in the radiators affect the reactance of the antenna impedance, antenna characteristics, such as bandwidth, input impedance, beam width, etc., are sensitivity varied. Induced current shaping in the antenna radiator due to the proposed slit types resonates the antennas, and the antenna operates dual-band. Therefore, it is confirmed that, by using the H-type slit, the size of the PIFA, which operates at dual-band, is reduced. According to the results, the proposed antenna is confirmed as a candidate mobile handset antenna.
