Abstract
The author describes the activity carried out in retrofitting a radar system following interference problems generated by the integration of the radar with VHF frequency hopping radios for weapon systems. The method for reproducing problems in the laboratory is emphasized as an effective tool for resolving the susceptibility problems. The solution adopted consisted of filtering the leads coming into the control card and reducing the shielding weakness mainly at the base of the antenna using a conductive gasket at the base of antenna. Computed and experimental data are also presented
