Abstract :
A miniature Hilbert planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) is proposed for dual-band mobile phone application. The antenna consists of a low and a high band radiating element making it operational in the 900 and 1800 MHz bands. An antenna of 33 mm by 15 mm by 10 mm offers an operating bandwidth of 9.7% and 4.4% in the low and high frequency bands respectively within a VSWR of 2.5:1.
