Abstract
This paper establishes a model of the jointly managed inventory (JMI) for iron and steel enterprises based on system dynamics (SD), and simulates the model dynamically with the specific business data. Through a quantitative analysis on the optimization role of the JMI and the bullwhip effect (BE) of supply chain, the paper concludes the feasibility and superiority of the JMI in the supply chain for iron and steel enterprises.
