  • Abstract
This report presents the results of the investigations concerning the obtaining of hard structures in vacuum at the metals surfaces in specified areas on the machine parts, by heat processing of surfaces with electron beam, using as heat source of the zone attacked, a concentrated electron beam induced by an electronic cannon. Hard structures are obtained by improvement (DFE) or enrichment (DAFE) of the material on surface zones and micro zones on the machine parts, preselected by the deflexion of the electron beam corroborated with the movement of the table x, y, z commanded by a computer. These investigations show a high interest being a solution to replace the classic, expensive, technologies used till now, superficial strengthen by flame, superficial strengthen by induction, carburetion and nitration with modern ones, based on electron beam more efficiently and economically, named by the author HARDNESS. This process induces besides the increase of strength at wearing of hardened surface, the increase of strength at tiredness.
