Abstract :
Methods for reducing desensitization-related disturbances on VLF receiver systems are examined. New front-end parameters are checked in the optimization program to obtain improvements of signal-to-noise ratio and improvements of loss of sensitivity. The VHF system results can contribute to an improvement from a preliminary 9% to a final 4.5% in the relative frequency intervals for collocation conditions while providing a significant improvement in the threshold limit far field distance for similar desensitization conditions without significantly reducing the receiver sensitivity. It is concluded that this optimization method and resulting improvements are useful in the design of radio communication systems
