Abstract :
Enterprise is now changing deeply under global economic environment. As an important part of enterprise systems, enterprise information systems (EIS) is facing challenge from various aspects. Enterprise architecture (EA) is becoming more and more important in the information management field. As the logical description of business process and IT architecture, EA reflects the integrated model for company. However, it is difficult for stakeholders in EA to communicate with each other considering their different concerns and viewpoints. Semiotic perspective makes it clear how a single term can mean different things in relation to different levels and helps to organize thinking when designing or evaluating a system. This paper is to develop an ontology model for inter-views consistency in EA based on semantic analysis which is the methodology in organizational semiotics (OS). The model provides design methods to improve architectural practice as well as techniques in the communication of relevant stakeholders in different architectures.
