  • Abstract
A fairly simple method is presented for the numerical treatment of electromagnetic problems in the presence of thin wires and metallic bodies. A technique is described for handling wires attached on arbitrarily shaped conducting surfaces without using sophisticated basis functions in the connection area. To demonstrate that the method works, the examples of an umbrella antenna fixed on a sheet, a wire loop in connection with a conducting body, and field penetration into the hole of a cube are presented. The proposed method is numerically well-behaved in both the low and high frequency range
