Abstract :
In medical facilities, studies of emergency measures against power failures due to natural disasters have become an interesting subject, especially those using renewable energy sources and energy-storage systems. We have developed a simulator to analyze the power grid conditions with several energy sources and batteries including commercial utility grid. For the sake of validation of the simulator, the size of power generators and battery systems is estimated to balance the power supply and demand in the actual hospital. In this paper, case studies, simulation analysis of the power supply system, and prediction of a suitable energy sources and batteries are presented.
