Abstract
This paper describes a cost function for finding an optimal route for logistic suppliers. The logistics cost depends on number of miles driven, time to destination, the employment cost of the driver, and weight and volume of cargos. The importance of the parameters and that of their unit are different from each other. Moreover, as some parameters vary with traffic density, which in turn depends on time of day, all parameters of the cost function are expressed in monetary units.
