Abstract :
A method of two-dimensional (2-D) direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation of coherent signals is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the subarrays for spatial smoothing are formed by utilizing the symmetric configuration of the uniform-circular-array (UCA). Then the coherent signals can be resolved without any array transformations based on the algorithm of the spatial smoothing. The numbers of the elements can be decreased largely by using this method. The good performance is not only for DOA estimation of the coherent signals, but also for the non-correlation ones. Finally, the computer simulation tests verify the validity of the presented method.
