Abstract
This paper explores the economic, technical, and educational issues related to designing SymposiumTM, a Web-based training delivery environment. In response to these demands, SymposiumTM , a virtual classroom environment on the Web, has been created to provide live instructor-led real-time audio, and access to the vast resources of the Web. This form for Web-based training is distinguished by the tools provided to the instructor and the learners, and the educational characteristics of the learning experience
