Abstract
Wind turbine generators are driven by stochastically fluctuating wind speeds, and hence the generated power variation causes voltage and frequency changes in the case of a small power system on an isolated island. To cope with such variations, a control strategy for controlling wind turbines is required. This paper presents a new control scheme based on disturbance accommodation control. The results show that the proposed controller can drastically reduce the power variation.
