Abstract
This paper presents the development of a three-dimensional driving simulator using CAVE, which enables us to provide three-dimensional visual information. Driving behavior, including acceleration, deceleration and stopping in front of the stop line, is observed. The difference in driving behavior between 3D and 2D virtual environments has been investigated. A GMDH has also been introduced and applied to the measured data in order to build a mathematical model of driving behavior.
