Abstract :
To integrate today´s field communication, it is very important to gather data as efficiently as possible. Therefore, the communication bandwidth between the controller CPU and the field communication interface must be wide enough to exchange data at high speed. This paper proposes a two-layer I/O architecture, that will integrate high speed communication and conventional analog/digital I/O into one controller.
