Abstract :
On the basis of the thin shell´s vibration theory and actual feature of the hemispherical shell resonator, the vibrating characteristics of the hemispherical resonator gyro are investigated in this paper. The formulas for finding the resonator frequency and the precession of the vibrating shape in circumferential direction are presented. Depending on ANSYS-finite element analysis, the influence of the shell´s geometry parameters on each free frequency is analyzed.
