Abstract :
This is a description of a serious game in progress that is being made in India as part of an Arts and Humanities Research Council funded research project. Due to its unique cultural context as well as its disciplinary affinities, the creation of the game ´Meghdoot´ has raised important questions regarding cross-cultural understandings and interpretations of game design and cultural relevance, which are explored in this paper.
