Abstract
This paper presents a technique for analyzing the transient performance of cell streams at an ATM link. Transient performance analysis is important, since the transient behavior of a traffic process can in fact dominate the actual performance. The novelty of the proposed technique is that it can analyze transient loss and delay performance for both Markov and non-Markov traffic processes
