Abstract :
This work concerns the rainfall estimation using the multispectral information of Meteosat satellite. We worked out a method with threshold which combines the Infrared-Visible (IR-VIS) information of Meteosat satellite. This method constitutes an alternative making it possible to simplify the classification of the clouds starting from the IR and VIS data. The principle is to define threshold values for the data used, from which the pixels of the IR and VIS images are considered rainy.
