Abstract :
Based on many other roll roundness measurement methods, six positions of two symmetrical diameter points measurement method (SPTPMM) of roll roundness is proposed. Meanwhile, the principle and method of separating spindle kinematical errors and roll roundness error is described in detail. Based on the foregone control system and hardware of roll grinder, we designed the roundness measurement devices and software system for control and measurement of the roll. Experiment shows the proposed roundness measurement program can greatly improve the roundness measurement accuracy of the roll.
