Abstract :
To match the progress of computer networks, high throughput small wireless LAN systems are required. Conventional wireless LAN equipment uses GSMA as the link access protocol, but this limits the number of terminals. To solve this problem, radio token multiple access (RTMA) is proposed and its frame format and actions are detailed. The effect of RTMA is compared with several conventional systems to clarify the throughput performance of RTMA and its suitability for personalized wireless LAN systems
