Abstract :
Group delay variation introduced by phase non-linearity in radio frequency (RF) components causes an unexpected type of distortion in tracking signals used with systems transmitting frequency-hopped signals. This paper will describe this type of distortion and present and analyze data collected from simulations and from a satellite system test bed
