Abstract
Concordancing is a technique which analyzes text corpora to show how any given word or phrase in the text is used in the immediate contexts in which it appears. The main focus of this technique consist in discovering patterns and rules of authentic language use through analysis of actual usage, and generating theories of what does not account for the probable choices that speakers actually make. In the last two decades, there has been an increasing emphasis on concordancing. However, its use had been largely restricted to English and some European languages with large digital resources, while the majority of languages had been excluded from gaining the potential benefits of this tool. Amazigh as one of the less commonly taught languages still knows a deep lack of digital resources. Thus, endowing this language by linguistic resources, tools such as concordancer, and innovative applications, will contribute on its development and promotion. In this aim, the present paper investigates computer technology as a medium to provide linguistic knowledge and develop the skills of Amazigh language learners, by developing an online concordancer that could support all Moroccan Amazigh language scripts.
