Abstract
The San Jose Project utilized a unique industry approach to collect and recycle used computer equipment from consumers. This paper presents the methodology, sample economies and barriers associated with the Project. Despite a net program cost, the Project showed that collecting consumer equipment through a network of electronic equipment retail stores is a feasible approach
