Abstract :
A new design approach for active RC biquadratic filter circuits using differentiators is presented. The method exploits current-feedback operational amplifiers as active elements. Compared to conventional op-amps, these amplifiers are characterized by a very high bandwidth and offer a more efficient frequency compensation. To demonstrate the viability of the proposed technique, a prototype bandpass filter implemented in a bipolar technology is designed and simulated using SPICE
