Abstract
Coverage control is one of the key problems of research and applications of wireless sensor networks. In this paper, the coverage control problem for hybrid networks which comprise both static and mobile sensors is investigated. A strategy for the discovery and determination of coverage blind spots based on Voronoi diagram is presented. For the situation that there are many blind spots in the same Voronoi region, a method for determining the number of blind spots is proposed. Simulation results show that the proposed discovery mechanism is effective and feasible.
