Abstract :
Robust design is an important method to reduce variation and improve the performance of products or processes including static and dynamic quality characteristics. In the past, researchers focused on the static and linear dynamic quality characteristics. Recently, several researchers have begun to study robust design problems of nonlinear dynamic multiple responses. In this work an improved degree of grey incidence has been introduced in the proposed approach for resolving dynamic nonlinear multiple responses problem. In view of comparability and/or appropinquity respectively, the similitude degree and the close degree of grey incidence are proposed to measure the similar degree and the close degree within response sequence and the ideal target sequence, and then decide the optimal factor levels by choosing the maximum similitude degree of grey incidence. Combined with the optimal factor levels by choosing the maximum close degree of grey incidence, the final optimal factor settings can be obtained. An example from the literature is illustrated to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
