Abstract :
This paper describes synchronized discrete multi-tone (SDMT), a flexible, low-complexity time-division duplexed implementation of DMT. It is shown that SDMT provides the key desirable features to enable very high-speed digital subscriber line (VDSL) transmission and is therefore an ideal solution for VDSL. Simulation results quantify the achievable performance of an SDMT VDSL system
