Abstract
In this paper, the mathematical expression of mainlobe to mean square sidelobe ratio (MMSSR) is deduced by analyzing the statistic properties of the output of the range/Doppler processing in noise radar. The main factors influencing MMSSR are investigated, including pulse compression length, discrete Fourier transform (DFT) length, Doppler frequency, signal to noise ratio (SNR) and the weighted window. The correctness of the conclusions has been verified by the simulation results.
