Abstract
In this paper, the concept of space-time adaptive detection (STAD) is presented. The diagonally loaded adaptive matched filter (DL-AMF) and the diagonally loaded adaptive coherence estimation (DL-ACE) are analyzed. Their performance is investigated, and the asymptotically analytical expression of the probability of false alarm (PFA) and the probability of detection (PD) are derived. Compared to the AMF and the ACE, the PD´s of the DL-AMF and the DL-ACE are improved dramatically, especially when the sample support is limited.
