Abstract
In this paper a method of generating 3-variable strictly Hurwitz polynomials (SHPs) and very strictly Hurwitz polynomials (VSHPs) by using the properties of positive definite matrices and a resistive matrix is presented. It is shown that the derived 3-variable SHPs and VSHPs could be used to design stable 3-dimensional recursive digital filters satisfying a prescribed magnitude specifications.
