Abstract :
In contrast to intensity-encoded negabinary modified signed-digit number representation, a polarization-encoding scheme is proposed to design all-optical adders. The adder circuits are designed using Terahertz-Optical-Asymmetric-Demultiplexer (TOAD) switches, polarization beam splitters, polarization converters, and beam combiners.
