Abstract :
A speed regulation scheme is investigated for spark-ignition (SI) engine with alternator. In the case that the magnetic torque variation with the irregular operations of the electric loads is treated as the measurable disturbance, a state feedback controller with the magnetic torque feedforward is designed to regulate the engine speed. The approximate algorithm is also discussed for the implementation in practice. Finally, to demonstrate the validity of the proposed approaches, the algorithm is examined on the 3GR-FSE engine test bench. The experiment results show that the speed servo performance is improved.
