Abstract :
We consider maximum likelihood (ML) estimation of the direction of arrival (DOA) and fading coefficients in multipath environment when the incident signal have known waveforms. A efficient iterative algorithm based on alternating maximization technique has been presented and Cramér-Rao bound (CRB) for ML estimator is also obtained. Finally, numerical examples are illustrated to assess the performance of the proposed ML estimator and make comparisons with existing alternatives.
