  • Abstract
    In some conditions of modern industrial, demand for the power of servomotors is increasing. In order to achieve accurate speed control of high-power servomotors and reduce the work of calculation in the controller, a novel method is developed in the paper. A speed observer based on the mathematic model is designed. Meanwhile, to solve the nonlinearity coupling of the current and speed, adaptive backstepping control approach is adopted, getting the control voltage and adaptive renew laws. To reduce calculating work when there are many coupling parameters, two adaptive update laws are given separately for alternative control in the controller according to different industrial application conditions that the high-power servomotors may be involved in. The simulating results show that the novel control strategy adopted in high-power servomotor controller can achieve an accurate speed control.
