Abstract :
A spike detection system has been developed using a pattern-recognition technique. The waves are processed by a 16-bit microcomputer, and only the waves that satisfy certain statistical conditions are detected as a spike. A normalized method is used to take care of fluctuations over time of amplitude, period, duration, etc. The accuracy of spike detection is 96%
