Abstract
Stepping motor is the main actuator of incremental motion control system. The permanent magnetic synchronous motor (PMSM), as well as the stepping motor, can work in stepping mode if suitable driving method is applied. This paper study the open-loop stepping drive theory and method of PMSM. A new open-loop compensation method of PWM dead-time is introduced to improve the control precision of winding current and also improve the precision of step interval under stepping drive mode.
