  • Abstract
The traditional motor testing method has some disadvantages such as complex, costliness, hard work and long elapsed time is needed, and so on. These disadvantages make it is necessary to study on the no-coupling motor testing technology. The no-coupling motor testing method is based on the digital signal processing and system identification technologies. Using this type of testing system, the parameters and characteristics can be obtained automatically without load coupled with the motor under test. This paper gives out the no-coupling test method for the single-phase AC series-excited motor in detail. Firstly, the theory and mathematic model of motor is analyzed. Then, the problems of no-coupling testing technology are analyzed and solved. The experiments show that, using this automatic testing method, the high precision results can be obtained while the elapsed time is short.
