Abstract :
This paper presents the design and implementation of the PoST System - a network of portable terminals intended for personal satellite communications. In this concept, a direct sequence spread spectrum waveform is employed to satisfy FCC regulations, support efficient utilization of satellite resources and allow the use of a simple network protocol based on code division multiple access (CDMA)
