Abstract :
Sintering and dielectric properties of a new perovskite compounds, Pb[(Mg13/V23/)1-xZrx]O3 (x=0, 0.25, 0.5 and 0.75) ceramics, under an oxygen atmosphere sintering condition have been studied. The Pb[(Mg13/V23/)1-xZrx]O3 ceramics system can be fired at lower than 950°C. Perovskite phases are not confirmed in the Pb(Mg13/V23/)O3 and Pb[(Mg13/V23/)0.75Zr0.25]O3 ceramics. Pure perovskite phase ceramics are obtained with a Pb[(Mg13/V23/)0.25Zr0.75]O3 composition. Dielectric constant and dissipation factors of the Pb[(Mg13/V23/)0.25Zr0.75]O3 sample at 100 KHz are 187 and 2.2% at 25°C. Curie temperature (Tc) of the Pb[(Mg13/V23/)0.25Zr0.75]O3 ceramics is 202°C which is lower than that of pure PbZrO3.
