Abstract :
Industrial transfer instrument standards based on the electrodynamic AC-DC converter (EDC) obtained by a compensation method capable of detecting and compensating the chief cause, of both the frequency error and high volt-ampere consumption at the highest frequencies, are described. The new method adopts a hardware processor which consists of an OA. The chief detected cause of the frequency error to 50 kHz is the e.m.f. induced in the instruments´ coils by the total field coils flux of both self and mutual inductance. Prototypes of these compensated EDC transfer instrument standards are briefly described, and the experimental results obtained with the possibility of their use in distorted wave analysis, are discussed
