Abstract :
This paper deals with the psychological complexity of HDL models. The results from software engineering regarding this topic are discussed. Then the main factors of complexity in an HDL model are identified. Following this, useful complexity measures are presented, and the meaning of their values is analyzed. Finally, the role of complexity measures for hardware design in the future is discussed
