Abstract
To precisely estimate missile detection capability of balloon-borne radar is a key issue in designing low-altitude radar network. Based on stochastic service theory, an M/D/C finite queuing model of searching process is established, and the definition and calculation of balloon-borne radar service time, missing alarm probability and missile queuing time is presented. Through the analysis of L-88 balloon-borne radar search process, model validity is proved, the relationship between missing alarm probability and missile attack intensity is obtained. This model shows a good expansibility, and the results can be effectively applied to design land-based or air-based radar detection system.
