Abstract :
We present Wood, an automatic parallelizer for object oriented programs written in C++. Our transformation extends a proposal by Yin, Bic, and Ungerer (1990), extracting more inter- and intra-object parallelism, removing some implementation difficulties with their proposal and have also extended the scope of the transformation. For inter-object parallelism, we describe the steps required to automatically generate the parallel processes. For intra-object parallelism, we propose splitting an object into several pieces and distributing them across multiple processors
