The Development and Evaluation of Internet Data Mining System

With the development of computer science, Internet has become the major tool of e-commerce and it requires internet corporations to provide personalized services by tracking and analyzing userspsila visiting patterns. In the past years, research on data mining always focused on a specific algorithm of mining, less on the establishment of a whole system. In this paper the authors illustrate basic functions of Internet data mining system (IDMS). After an introduction about the principles and goals of development and evaluation of IDMS, the authors compare the general structure of Data Mining (DM) system with IDMS and presented the structure of IDMS. In the end, a specific criterion for the evaluation of IDMS was discussed.
