Abstract :
The recently introduced geometric approach to the nonlinear fault detection and isolation problem is used to detect actuator faults for the vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. The approach leads to a filter which, by processing the outputs of the plant, detects the faults and distinguishes which one is occurring
