Abstract
The authors describe early experience in labelling anatomical slices from the Visible Human project. The goal is to analyze approximately 1800 digitized color photos of the human body and produce a 3D volume data set whose voxels integers are encoded with tissue types. The approach is a mixture of traditional pattern recognition and an interactive user interface
