Abstract
The selection of basis functions is one of the important aspects in the moment method. Proper basis functions may accelerate the speed of convergence and decrease the costs of computer resources. In this paper, a method to construct high-order overlapping basis functions is proposed, and applied to the solution of 2D electromagnetic scattering problems. Compared with the low-order methods, the high-order methods can generate more accurate numerical results, even using larger subdomains. Numerical results show the validity and efficiency of the presented technique.
