  • Abstract
In the marching-on in time (MOT) method, the time is discretized into time intervals, only the current and field at discrete moments can be obtained. When we need a current in between of two moments, traditionally we use the current at the nearest moment to approximate the actual current. This approximation causes error which is the main source of the whole accumulation error. In this paper, this error is reduced by taking an interpolation of currents at the two near moments to approximate the actual current, so the whole accumulation error is reduced significantly. Numerical results show that this technique is efficient. The improved MOT is then used in the calculation of the radiation pattern defined by energy of V-shaped wire antennas, in which more accurate late time data are required.
